Shades of Blue: Indigo Dyeing and Shibori Techniques

Join artist and educator Sam for a hands-on indigo dyeing class Transform ordinary fabric into wearable art through the ancient technique of shibori indigo dyeing! Saturday, July 25th, from 1pm to 3:30pm!

In this hands-on workshop, you'll dive into the mesmerizing world of shibori—a traditional Japanese resist-dyeing method that creates stunning patterns through folding, binding, and compressing fabric before immersion in indigo dye.

What You'll learn and create:

• Each participant will be able to dye one small item they bring from home and a test patch
• You'll also leave with a beautiful handcrafted indigo bandana.
• If time allows, we will experiment with resist techniques for dye.

All materials provided, but please bring one small, natural fiber item from home to dye.

No prior experience necessary. Just bring your creativity!
