Making Linocut Patterns: Creating Repeating Art for Textiles
Join artist and educator Sam and discover the joy of creating handmade prints and repeating patterns in this beginner-friendly linocut workshop! Join us on Saturday, June 27, from 11am to 1pm!
Linocut is a printmaking technique where designs are carved into soft materials, inked, and transferred to paper or fabric to create beautiful, reproducible art.
What you'll learn and create:
- Master the fundamentals of relief printmaking in a supportive, step-by-step environment
- Design and carve your own unique printing blocks using soft erasers and other beginner-friendly materials
- Take home your own hand-carved blocks and a bandana or tea towel you’ve printed.
Perfect for creative explorers, art enthusiasts, or anyone looking to try something new with their hands. Join us to experience the satisfaction of pulling your very first print and watching your artistic vision multiply before your eyes!
All materials provided, no prior experience necessary. Just bring your creativity.
*Please note there is a minimum of 5 participants required for this event. If the minimum is not reached by Friday, June 26th, you will be refunded and notified of the cancellation via the email and phone number provided at checkout.
