Cardamom Cocktail Basics

Posted by Colleen O'Bryant on

I felt like it was a good idea to really bring in some solid flavors for the season.  There are so many bold herbs to access and in so many ways our systems crave these warming and soothing flavors.  Cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg star anise, and ginger all create circulatory heat, all are impeccable cocktail additions.

Simple & Fabulous Cardamom Cocktail

Add 3 little cardamom pods and a 1/2 of an inch of ginger along with a half of lemon to your cocktail shaker (or a mason jar).  Muddle these with your muddler or a wooden spoon then add a 1/2 cup of ice, 1.5 ounces your preferred spirit, .5 ounce of our Lemon Cardamom Syrup or Rosehip Hibiscus and a big squeeze of clementine.   Shake these and serve in an up glass with a slice of ginger.  It's a perfect warming and soothing holiday decorating drink.  Cheers!
