Shiitake Mushroom Inoculation Workshop - May 18th, 2025 - 9AM-12PM

Join us with our friends and farmers Nikolas and Amanda on Sunnyside Farm and Conservancy in Washington, VA for a hands-on workshop on mushroom inoculation!

In this workshop, you'll:

• Learn the how to select and harvest the right wood for successful mushroom cultivation
• Get hands-on experience drilling, plugging, and sealing logs with shiitake spawn
• Discover fascinating facts and stories about mushroom life cycles and cultivation techniques
• Enjoy the magic of being with amazing farmers & fungi loving people!
• Take home your very own inoculated log to grow shiitakes for years to come
• All tools and materials will be provided.
• Wear clothes suitable for outdoor work and gloves, and bring your curiosity and questions!

Age 16 and up only.

This event will be held rain or shine - we'll have covered space available if needed.
