wild kitchen rituals - april: herbal oxymels & tonics - online workshop
Hello friends,
Welcome to Wild Kitchen Rituals — a monthly hands-on workshop series where we make medicine and healing recipes together, right in your own kitchen.
Each month centers around a seasonal theme to support and grow your apothecary. you'll receive a shopping list sent in advance so you can join Colleen live and actually make things with your hands.
We'll explore how to weave these plants into your daily life, the benefits they offer, and the deeper co-creative relationship you can build with the knowing of their nature.
April 28 · 6pm — Oxymels & Tonics: Everyday Medicine for Mid-Spring
The gardens are waking, the days are stretching longer, and our bodies want to move and breathe deeper. This month we lean into that energy and turn it into something tangible.
Oxymels are one of the oldest and most delightful forms of herbal medicine — vinegar and honey combined with plants to create remedies that are easy to make, easy to take, and genuinely pleasurable. Tonics are the herbs you return to daily, quietly building and supporting your everyday wellness. We'll work with three of spring's most generous offerings: Dandelion for clearing and cleansing, Violet for gentle nourishment, and Mullein as steady support for lung health as we breathe into the season.
Together we'll make three remedies:
- A seasonal tonic using fresh garden and wild weed clippings
- A fairy-filled violet oxymel
- A grounding mullein leaf tincture
All of them simple. All of them useful. Everyone who joins receives the class recording and the April Recipe & Remedies Booklet with seasonal wellness inspiration for mind, body, and spirit.
