Mulberry + Rose Heart Bitter Tonic

I wanted something to support digestion during the Summer months as we eat more raw foods, which is wonderful but can put a strain on the digestive system.  The mulberries are filled with antioxidants and energy and the mimosa and rose flower is a blessing all on it's own.  The calendula is pretty bitter, but offers a healing strength that coats the alimentary canal with its resinous tendencies and can just make everything feel a bit better.  I ended up adding a little bit of synergy with Peppercorns, Nutmeg, and Cinnamon, which will really push that heat out of the body.  Finishing this one out are the bittering agents for increased liver and gall flow of Cardoon, Chicory, Dandelion, and Blue Vervain.  These bitter plants are grounding and offer strength for disgestion and ASSIMILATION.  The keys to living a good life, at least digestively speaking.

Bottle Size: 50ml

Ingredients: Mimosa Flowers, Mulberries, Calendula, Cardoon, Chicory, Dandelion Root, Blue Vervain, Hibiscus, Hawthorn, Angelica, Allspice, Roses, Lemon Juice, Vanilla, Peppercorn, Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Honey, Cherry Juice, Distilled Spirits

Bitters: Bitters are extracts of bitter-tasting roots, leaves, and berries in alcohol. Bitters have been used throughout history to stimulate the digestive system.

Medicinal Uses: Herbal bitters are an ancient tonic for stimulating the production of bile in the liver which improves the digestion and absorption of fats. Take bitters 5-10 minutes before every meal. Best taken in only 2-3 ounces of water so that your taste buds may experience the bitterness of the herbs, since it is the bitterness of the herbs that enhance the digestive process and promotes the production of digestive enzymes.

Culinary Uses: Adds a creative element to craft cocktails, can be used as part of a pickle brine or marinade, and tasty digestion-enhancing addition to sparkling water.
