Wild Wanderings: Foraging & Plant ID Walk

This class requires masks and social distancing protocols. Limit of 15 people on walk.
Join herbalist Colleen O'Bryant for a stroll along the river in the land that surrounds the apothecary. Colleen will identify wild weeds that have been used in medicines for centuries and their practical applications, including interesting culinary uses.

Each month the plants change in our yards, gardens, and fields. Forests come to life with the traditional healing powers of medicine. Whether this is through edible plants, healing roots, or the flowers of plants, each month reveals the plant magic.

Our CSHA members receive a bonus of 1 free class per seasonal share cycle. Learn more about our CSHA opportunity here.

The Wild Wandering walk will last for approximately 90 minutes as we meander through the gardens and forks of the North and South Thornton River.

Find what out how the "weeds" in our beautiful county and your yard can bring nourishment and healing.

Cameras and field notebooks are encouraged. The walk is weather dependent.

Work trades available for those that want to participate but are unable due to financial concerns.
